my story
I first got curious about the outdoors inside a classroom. I don't recall exactly what my environmental science teacher taught us, but I just remember it being really fun – full of mind-boggling stories of the fascinating world and our place in it. These are the kind of stories I hope to share.
Sawadee ka :-) My name is Nanticha Ocharoenchai – but you can call me Lyn. I'm from this place where food is undeniably spectacular; it's called Thailand. The mountains, beaches, elephants and people here are truly wonderful.

Since the first climate strike I organised in Bangkok back in 2019, I have been experimenting with various forms of storytelling to share these wonders, protect them and better them. This goes from explaining DNA sequencing to an 8-year-old to showing an urban policymaker what life on the Mekong River looks like – and make them care enough to do something good, through a couple hundred words or a few minutes of video.

Currently, I'm exploring wildlife science, conservation tech, indigenous ecological knowledge and sustainable urban design (but also a dozen other things). Beyond reading, I'm still learning about all this and more, at dinner with researchers and while camping with friends, just about anywhere all the time.

I live in Chiang Mai (northern Thailand) at the moment, but am ready to hop on a bike and just go go go and rock up to some forest anywhere. Just shoot me a text :)
